May 6-8 Chambers from across Ontario gathered in Toronto to inform the policy direction of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber Network, at the 2011 Annual General Meeting & Convention.
Attached are the 2011 Approved Policy Resolutions and the Resolutions Referred to the Board.
Guelph's submission on improved competitiveness has been referred to the Board to combined with Sarnia-Lambton's submission on innovation.
Premier McGuinty presented his vision for Ontario, as did Tim Hudak from the Conservatives and Andrea Horvath from the NDP. It was good to see some pre-election directions from the leaders of the provincial parties. We will be preparing our position documents to present to them accordingly. Particular concern is around energy, as well as health care. More on that to come following our May Advocacy Committee meeting.
